One, undergraduate professional catalog

4. Application qualifications
1. Non-Chinese citizens aged 18-30, graduated from high school, and in good health.
2. The applicant's Chinese proficiency must reach HSK Level 5 (inclusive) or above. HSK Level 4 subjects with scores above 60 can also apply, but they must reach HSK Level 5 (inclusive) one year after enrollment (for Chinese language majors), or the qualification will be cancelled.
3. Applicants for English-taught majors do not require Chinese proficiency when applying for admission. If their native language is not English, they need to provide TOEFL/IELTS or other English proficiency score certificates.
4. Residents of Mainland China (Mainland), Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan who apply as international students after immigrating to foreign countries, according to the Ministry of Education Jiaowailai [2009] No. 83, must obtain foreign nationality and cancel before April 30, 2016 Chinese nationality and a record of actual residence abroad for more than 2 years from April 30, 2016 to April 30, 2020 (actually living abroad for 9 months in a year can be counted as one year for entry And the exit signature shall prevail).
5. Applicants who obtain foreign nationality at birth in a foreign country, and both parents are Chinese citizens at the time of birth, or one parent is a Chinese citizen, shall be implemented in accordance with Zhejiang Provincial Public Security Department Zhe Gong Wai Jing [2008] No. 210 (link).
5. Application process
Step 1: Apply online, log in to the International Student Admissions System of Zhejiang University (link), fill out online, and print out the "Application Form for International Undergraduate Admissions of Zhejiang University" after submission. The applicant should sign and paste his personal ID photo (white background, 35mm in size) ×45mm).
Step 2: Pay the application fee online in the admissions system. If online payment is not possible, you need to remit the application fee to the designated bank account of our school and upload the scanned copy of the remittance voucher to the admissions system.
The third step: mail paper application materials (please arrange in strict accordance with the following order) 1. "Zhejiang University International Undergraduate Admission Application Form".
2, a copy of passport.
3. The original or notarized copy of the high school graduation certificate. For fresh high school graduates, the expected graduation certificate will be issued by the school where they are located, and the original high school graduation certificate or the original notarized copy must be submitted after admission.
4. The original or notarized original transcripts of all courses at the senior high school level.
5. Applicants for Chinese-taught majors must provide a copy of the HSK certificate and transcript, and the original must be submitted after admission.
6. Applicants for English-taught majors must provide TOEFL/IELTS or other English proficiency score certificates, and must submit the originals after admission.
7. Two recommendation letters from high school teachers, with the signature and contact information of the recommender.
8. A personal statement, less than 800 words, the content must include personal learning experience, application reasons and personal advantages, etc.
9. Photocopy of the award certificate of the high school subject competition (if any).
10. Those who were originally Chinese citizens and later became foreign nationals must submit (1) Chinese nationality or household registration cancellation certificate; (2) Naturalization certificate of foreign nationality; (3) From April 30, 2016 to April 30, 2020 Copy of passport entry and exit records.
11. Applicants who were born in a foreign country and obtained foreign nationality, if both or one of their parents are Chinese citizens, need to provide (1) The applicant has obtained a foreign nationality certificate at birth; (2) The applicant's parents (a Chinese citizen) Foreign permanent residence certificate. Copies of the above two certificates can be provided.
12. Applicants under the age of 18 by September 1, 2020 must submit (1)Guardian Guarantee (download), the guardian must be an adult living in Hangzhou; (2) The applicant's parents entrust the guardian to entrust guardianship A notarized copy of the book, a photocopy can be provided.
13. Copy of bank remittance voucher for application fee (if any).
Note: 1. Applicants can apply with SAT/IB/GCE A-LEVEL/ACT and other scores.
2. The above application materials must be in Chinese or English, and notarized translations must be provided for documents in languages other than Chinese or English.
3. The above application materials must be delivered by express or directly to the Admissions Office of Zhejiang University International Education College on the application deadline (please refer to the contact information below for the specific address). 4. The above application fee and application materials will not be refunded regardless of admission.

6. Six, application professional description
1. The majors of architecture, urban and rural planning, and art design require applicants to have a certain foundation in art and painting, aesthetic ability and perceptual thinking ability. Otherwise, students will encounter learning difficulties and difficulty in completing their studies.
2. Economics, management, psychology, and computer majors require a good mathematical foundation.
3. Applicants who apply for majors in the School of Chemical Engineering and Biological Engineering and the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering must not be color blind.
4. Applicants for Chinese language majors need to conduct a video interview, and the specific arrangements will be notified separately.
Seven, admission method
1. The school will select the best students based on their high school grades, language proficiency, interview or written examination, etc., and determine the list of pre-admitted students in batches. Applicants can log in to the Zhejiang University International Student Admissions System to check the application results.
2. Pre-admitted students log in to the admissions system within the specified time of the school and pay the first academic year tuition in advance. If online payment is not possible, you need to remit the tuition to our school's designated bank account and upload the scanned copy of the remittance voucher to the admissions system.
3. After the school confirms the receipt of the prepaid tuition and announces the school calendar for the new school year, the school will issue the "Admission Notice" and JW202 visa application form to the officially admitted students.
Reminder: 1. Please be sure to accurately indicate the applicant's application number and name when remittance.
2. The tuition fee paid in advance will not be refunded if the student waives to register at our school for personal reasons or completes the withdrawal procedures after registering.
8. Scholarship
1. Chinese Government Scholarship
is only for Chinese-taught majors. Applicants for Chinese government scholarships must apply through the Chinese embassy or consulate in the country where the applicant is located. When filling in the "Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form", you must fill in "Zhejiang University" in the first choice in the "Applying Institutions" column.
2. Zhejiang University Freshman Scholarship
Zhejiang University has set up a certain number of freshman scholarships for international students of various undergraduate majors with a correct learning attitude and good grades in Chinese. The amount of funding is 20,000 yuan. If you need to apply, please fill in the "Zhejiang University International Undergraduate Scholarship Application Form" (download) and mail it together with other application materials.
9. Medical insurance: Zhejiang University will apply for international student group comprehensive medical insurance for international students who have paid full tuition fees and received full scholarships in time (note: physical or mental illnesses suffered before enrollment are not covered by insurance), relevant international student insurance provisions Please refer to the introduction of insurance products for international students in China on the Overseas Education Insurance Network (link).
10. Accommodation: For accommodation information, please refer to the “study life (link)” section on the homepage of the International Education College website. Please refer to the notice for specific accommodation arrangements. The online room selection system (link) will be open to admitted students in early August 2020.
11. Entry to the journal: The end of August or the beginning of September 2020, the specific time is subject to the Admission Notice. Admitted applicants should take ordinary passports, "Admission Notice", "Visa Application Form for Studying in China" (JW202 Form) to the Chinese Embassy (Consulate) to apply for an entry study (X1) visa, and bring the above materials and The original tuition payment voucher shall be registered at Zhejiang University at the time specified in the notice. Students who submit the expected high school graduation certificate, HSK certificate and copy of English proficiency transcript at the time of application must provide the official graduation certificate, original HSK certificate and original English proficiency transcript at the time of admission.
