"Mazu's Going to Southeast Asia and Re-walking the Silk Road" and China-Thailand Mazu Cultural Activity Week was grandly held in Thailand from November 14th to 19th, 2019.
Mazu culture not only has rich connotations, but also its extension is very broad, involving folklore, clan, navigation, overseas Chinese, diplomacy, history, astronomy, literature, art, architecture, science and other aspects.
Mazu, a sea elf who has endured thousands of years, a peaceful bond connecting countless descendants of Yan and Huang. In her short life, there was neither classic writing nor warning words, let alone any thought system. There are only a lot of myths and legends and beautiful and moving stories left in history, but she can become the most influential sea god worshipped by the southeast coast of China and overseas Chinese in history. This is an unheard of miracle. The Mazu spirit is subtly guiding the Chinese people from the mainland to the ocean and to the world, and further carry forward the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation of hard work, courage, selfless dedication, support for the poor, solidarity and friendliness, love for peace, and fear of violence. This may This is the charm of Mazu culture.
On November 20th, commissioned by the Mazu Cultural Exchange Group of Putian City, Fujian Province, the Thai-Chinese Health Industry Development Promotion Association bridged the Thai Ministry of Culture and conducted in-depth exchanges on the landing of Fujian’s Mazu culture in Thailand

According to the statistics of "The World Matsu Temples", there are nearly 5,000 Matsu temples in the world today, and there are nearly 200 million believers. They are distributed in nearly 30 countries and regions on five continents. Mazu beliefs spread all over the world. Wherever there are Chinese, there must be a Mazu temple and there must be Mazu believers. Mazu culture is undoubtedly a wonderful national culture nurtured by the spirit of the Chinese nation. It is one of my country's outstanding historical and cultural heritages and an important part of Chinese civilization.
Mazu culture is an important part of the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation and a precious spiritual wealth. For more than a thousand years, Mazu culture has spread to all over the world along with the "Sea Silk Road". I hope to take this opportunity to hold the patrol activity of "Mazu's Going to Southeast Asia and Re-walking the Sea Silk Road" in Thailand. My Promotion Association will also further learn and promote the spirit of Mazu at this event, let the world know Putian better, and expand Putian and Thailand. The cooperation of countries along the Sea and Silk Road in the fields of ocean, tourism, economy and trade has enabled Mazu culture to flourish in the new era, promote people-to-people bonds, deepen the friendship between China and Thailand, and benefit the people of the world.
